Tara's Offerings - Details on her ministries
Offering Violin Improvisation in a Worship Setting
Becoming a mirror through which God can reflect Himself is Tara’s greatest joy. As part of a worship leadership team, Tara offers a unique innovation of improvisation rooted in classical music training. Through varied experiences with worship teams, bands and orchestras both large and small, she has developed a sensitivity to respond to the unique styles and approaches of each group and setting. She strives to offer a musical layer that does not distract from the team’s effort of worship, but instead embellishes it with a sweetness and strength. Many who have experienced the impact of her violin in a worship setting remark, “I never liked the violin until I heard you.”
When considering worship leadership, Tara responds with passion, “It is a privilege and responsibility I take very seriously. In fact, I don’t consider myself a leader -- and certainly not a performer -- when I am up front in a worship setting. Rather, my primary goal is to focus on God, expressing my love and devotion to Him, and in doing so, to draw others to join me in that same pursuit.”
Contact Tara for information on how she can contribute to the worship experience at your next conference, retreat, or other special event.
Offering Special Music for Special Events
Tara has compiled a varied repertoire suitable for solo background instrumentals. She can also incorporate personal requests, usually at short notice, and can work with vocal soloists to add another layer of accompaniment to their selections.
Tara is also available for anything from conferences to weddings, funerals, and other formal occasions. Please contact Tara at twiley@gloriousreflectionsministries for fees and availability.
Offering Violin Additions for Your Recording Projects
Tara has recorded violin tracks for a variety of Christian albums with artists such as Melodie Griffin, Freda Tapp, and Lee Baker (see Links).
Tara is available to come to your studio; she also has a local recording studio where she can lay down tracks to be added to your recordings.
Offering Private Violin Instruction and Children's Music Academy Instruction Locally
A certified Suzuki teacher, Tara has taught private violin lessons for over 15 years. She finds great joy in teaching a traditional method to children beginning violin instruction at ages 4 to 6, and in modifying the Suzuki method to meet the needs of older students. She even has several adult beginning violinists (It's never too late to start!).
Tara also teaches at the local Children's Music Academy, an outstanding music program for children ages 4-7. Group lessons provide a perfect backdrop for positive, age-appropriate introductions to ear training, singing, music theory, keyboard, recorder, and guitar.
